Learning Outcome 5 & 6

Learning Outcome 5 & 6

In the three projects we worked on this semester, there was a big emphasis on the use of MLA format because without it, the essays would have very little structure and may become confusing. And just like the previous Learning Outcomes, of the three projects, the one that I feel best shows my ability to use MLA format for citations and sentence-level errors is Project 2. For example, there is one quote in each of the first and second paragraphs where I used block quotes to integrate it into the text because it was too long to incorporate as a normal quote would be. Below are images of how MLA format was used to put the quotes into the appropriate block quote format to fit the essay better. Another way I used MLA format, this time more for local revisions, my peers brought it to my attention that I was inconsistently citing my quotes. As I ended them I would either put both the page number and the name of the author the quote came from like “(Kelly, 6)” or I would put just the page number “(6)” so I fixed it so that all of the citations were the same throughout the entire paper.
